Felix Ensslin

Artist

Felix Ensslin is a philosopher, theatre director and an heir of
the German Years of Lead.
He is currently professor of Aesthetics and Art Mediation at the State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart. Together with Cristina Gomez Barrio and Wolfgang Mayer he is also in charge of the newly founded M.F.A. “Body, Theory and Poetics of the Performative”. In collaboration with students, he has realized numerous performances and installations.

As a theatre director and as a dramaturge he has worked with the Nationaltheater Weimar, most notably on “Die Räuber” and “Don Carlos”.

Felix Ensslin started working with the Agora Theater St. Vith in 2016. His first collaboration, “Animal Farm – Theater in Menschenpark” was premiered in 2017. Together with the Agora, he is currently working on a production of Slavoj Žižek’s “Antigone”. The premiere will take place in January 2020.
